Help please,first electric guitar?
Ok so I’ve been taking guitar lessons for about 6 months now using a guitar I borrowed from school and I got my first acoustic(epiphone pr-150 vs)guitar like 3 months ago,and now my birthday’s coming up so I was thinking of asking for an electric guitar but I’m not sure if it’s too soon to know if I’ll stick with it,I really love playing it’s so much fun and I’m getting really good at chords and pretty decent at melodies.But any ways which of these two guitars would make the best 1st electric guitar?

Also I am planning to buy the amp seperatly.probably a low end Marshall
I Wanna play punk/alternative(sort of like green day).and I’m not buying online these links are just to show the guitars.
If you have any other suggestions my Guitar price range is 100$-300$(preferably epiphone NO strats!!!)
The Epiphone Les Pauls are a good alternative to regular Les Pauls. What I did, however, was went ahead and bought (well, got it for Christmas, haha) the regular Les Paul.
But considering that you’re a beginner and don’t want to spend $2,000 on a Les Paul, I’d go for the Epiphone Les Paul.
Anyway, my first guitar which is a really good guitar for learning is the Fender Squier Mini. I got mine for $99.99. It has a good sound and small frets which makes it easier for learning. The only bad things I’d have to say about it are: (1) because of the single coil pick-ups, your amp will make a buzzing noise but that’s how it is for most guitars anyway and (2) there are not as many frets on the high section, but just enough for you to do most solos.
Have fun! And don’t give up on your guitar! Keep practicing even when it’s hard and it’ll all pay off!
