Guitar Sizes Explained

guitar sizes explained
My guitar sounds weird…help?

I have a Yamaha CS40. I dunno how to explain “weird” but it just…doesn’t give out a “clean” note and the kind of tune that I usually hear in songs. The guitar sounds kind of shrill and when I play, sometime my mom tells me to stop playing cuz it’s noisy. And I thought that guitar have a soft sound to it…

Help? Is it the strings or how I strum it or the guitar itself? (I hope not). I chose the CS40 because I saw that my friends had them too, but then I realized that they had C40. so…does the size of the guitar really change the sound?

btw, I use nylon strings.

Now, what I really want my guitar to sound like is this:

(don’t ask why I look at these kind of things o_o)

thanks for the help, bye! ^_^

If the action is too low, that is, the strings are too close to the frets – they will buzz against the frets when you play a note. This may be the problem.
