how long does it take to get at guitar?
im 14.
ive got very strong and quick fingers and hands from exersising them and playing guitar hero got them quicker.
wat are some good lessons to see on you tube or a free website?
wat are some good songs to learn or practice to get better for beginners?
ive seen people play guitar really good and ive seen how ur supposed to play it an stuff and i no tabs and how to read the song.
and if i practice and play eletric guitar every day for about 2-4 hours a day how long possibly would it take to get good and be able to do some deasent solos?
If you play 2-4 hrs a day it won’t take you too long to get sounding decent on guitar. One of the big things is to even if your doing something else sit there and dink on the guitar. If your watching TV, if your sitting around can have a hand free just finger chords and fret appagiated notes.
Good songs are songs that challenge you. At first any song is a challenge so learn easy stuff like Dazed and Confused, Rock you like a hurricane, etc. Then when you master the easy songs learn more complex tunes. Do NOT learn your favorite songs. When your beginning you wind up playing those songs so often you’ll hate them in a couple years. Learn your favorite songs later after you are pretty solid and it doesn’t take you very long to learn a song.
Timing timing timing timing. Did I mention timing? Get a metronome and practice too it. Timing is often much harder to learn than chords and basic techniques. Bad timing can destroy the best technique and make you sound like you don’t know what your doing.
Get guitarists you know to teach you stuff. That’s often the fastest way to learn but remember songs don’t have only one way to play them. So folks might show you 3 different ways to play the same song or play it in different keys. Don’t stress over it unless your playing in a cover band. Right now your just learning technique and developing skill.
