I need advice on salesmanship. Any advice for a beginner in sales? ?
OK so I just started a new job with a an outsourcing company who helps promote various companies. I have been assigned to Direct TV satellite service. I pretty much get people to sign up for Direct TV. I don’t go door to door, we are assigned a location each day. They send us to Best Buys, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Fry’s Electronics, Costco and so on. It consists of a direct marketing sales approach, we establish relationships with customers. Anyways I need advice on how would I approach customers, perhaps some scenarios would help, I would also like perhaps some examples of sales pitches you might think would work or that you have done through your experience. Any advice regarding learning the art of selling would be very appreciated. A lecture or some tutorial from an experienced salesperson would help. Any advice is good advice. Keep in mind I have no sales experience whatsoever. Thank you all for your help.
