Can i have a musicians advice please?
Hey, I’m probably being very naive here but i’m really artistic apparently, i write songs and poems, play electric guitar, create clay sculptures and loads of other stuff because when i’m very ill and can’t do much (i have M.E./CFS) but i’m drifting off my question here, basically! i love music, from 50′s, 60′s, 70′s not really 80′s or 90′s and music of today, not really popular music, mostly acoustic, a tad of folk but mostly blues! i love blues! you can just really feel the music! i love artists like The Black Keys and Seasick Steve (and real 50′s blues). basically, i want to create a song, i have a female friend who’s willing to sing, i can record on my pc and i can download a program but! i have a problem, every good song has a drum beat and i can’t play drums, i have no friends that play drums or anything. Can i make this song work without drums?! just guitar and a voice?

I don’t really know if that deserved thatmuch excitement, but still XD.
If you have a good rhythm going on the guitar you could manage, but it would have to have lyrics suited to a calmer song as without drums it will sound more laid-back. You could probably download an computer generated drum-kit where you can write an play a beat, but I haven’t done any research on that.
