Guitar specalists – Is this a fake Gibson Les Paul?
Hi, I was looking on eBay and I came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Gibson-Les-Paul-LE-Custom_W0QQitemZ170324205408QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Musical_Instruments_Instruments?hash=item170324205408&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
It’s very cheap (AU dollars), yet the headstock looks as it says “Gibsun” that cheap Chinese brand. But I’m not sure, so if you’re good with guitars please answer this.
That looks pretty close to the real deal. I am surprised that he didn’t give you the serial number. With that, I can check for you since I did work at Gibson for years.
The pictures are all clear except for the headstock and the back of the hedstock WHERE they usually place the serial number.
Contact the person and tell them you are serious and to email you a pic of the serial number.
From that point, you will know what is going down.
Also, the “O” on Gibson is missing a loop. Get a clear piciof that as well. Gibson usually has a closed “O”..
