Advice how to promote my website?
hey! well i have this website up and running it’s www.rockingjam.com the base of this site is to get guitar players to register and upload their videos and mp3s..now it’s only been officially up for about a 5 days
should i try to invite people at myspace, youtube and other community sites? or should i just let it be and wait? also i been using free web submission sites which i know is not as good as paid but should i try and buy the web advertising for $40 a year? and how about meta tags i been using:
guitar, lessons, online, free, videos, music and a couple more am i doing it right?
I wouldn’t spend money on advertising just yet. Facebook is a great avenue where you can reach a lot of people but the key is to focus on guitar players or artists. My suggestion is to log into your facebook account and click on this link:

if this link doesn’t work then write in your search box and type in guitar players and click on the tab to the left for Groups. You should then have a whole page of all the groups with guitars. Join the groups and start adding friends from these groups and post your site “what’s on your mind” with info inviting people to check out your site.
Remember Groups are better than Fan Pages cause you can see the whole friends list.
You want to add friends and leave a little message saying “I see that we both are into guitars, I just wanted to invite some friends over to connect and check out my new site for guitar players”. Something along those lines. Only add at least 20 people a day so that facebook won’t get you for spamming. It’s a slow process but if you do it everyday, you will have contacted 140 people a week.
Also if you know how to do a You-tube video then you really can target a large audience. Use those same tags.

Also another trick is to go onto guitar videos that have been placed recently and have a lot of views and post comments like I love your video and would like to invite you to post your videos on my site at www.rockingjam.com
Lastly, make sure you use affiliates or charge for advertising space where your bringing some money.
