Fender Bass History

Will this new bass do the job ?

Hi ! I currently own a ESP C305 and it’s great, little bit of hiss with loadsa hi end but you’ll always have that! Me and it go way back and we have a history and the way I got was brilliant and … oh memories! But anyway!

I’m going to by a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz because I’ve always liked his sound and it looks amazing and I’m a wee bit strapped for cash! I’m in a progressive groove metal band and so I like my Justin Chancellor-ish levels of hi end and mids. Will the geddy lee do the job?

But I also play in a more jazzy/light rock band and so does it play like a regular jazz bass aswell? I’ve heard it doesnt so I’m a little worried if it can do both jobs.I need to go from the extremes of playing with a Tool tone to a Flea tone you know?

Please Help! lol

the G Lee is expensive, a standard Jazz might do just as well.
theres nothing wrong with the Squire Jazz!
Bass Player Magazine reviewed this bass in the January 2008 issue… its easy to play, inexpensive, sounds wonderful, and looks crazy.
