Epiphone Custom Shop Guitar Center

guitar choices.?

i’ve been playing electric guitar for a few months and i’ve been using a crappy, “target” brand guitar, and i want to upgrade,

i went to guitar center and i was looking around and i saw two guitars,

one was the

daisy rock hard candy custom

http://www.daisyrock.com/products/rockcandy/rc_custom.htm

and the other was

Epiphone Limted Edition LP Special II Deluxe

http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_epiphone_limted_edition_special_ii_deluxe?full_sku=519385%2e015%2e284

i liked the neck on the daisy rock, because i have really small hands, but i also liked the sound of the epiphone, and the price is pretty good.

the question is, well since i was at the store i didnt want to try them out too much and i wanted to see if anyone owns these guitars and which one they think is best,

if you dont like either, suggest another :D

thanks, hannah.

As a musician, I’ve owned several electric guitars…..the Daisy Rock I’ve never even heard of but the Epiphone you wrote of is a budget-priced Les Paul copy that Gibson makes, and if you want a really good guitar, Gibson or Fender ( American Stratocaster) is the way to go…..although these are the more expensive instruments, a really good economically feasible guitar is a Dean Markley Baby V. It has good action, is light, has great resonance and the V-cut in the body makes fretboard access much easier if you sit a lot like me when you practice (I have a pic of it in the “pics” section of my profile on myspace–same username on there as here)…..there is also what’s called a “Squier” Strat (also made by Fender), which is just a cheaper Japanese-made version of the American Stratocaster. If you want to go all-out–Gibson Les Paul or Fender American Stratocaster. If you want to go somewhere in the middle–Dean Markley or Fender Squier Stratocaster. Between the two you wrote of–the Epiphone……I could go on almost indefinitely but when it really comes down to it, it’s all about personal choice–what you like to see with your eyes, what you like to hear with your ears and what you like to feel in your hands…..rock on baby girl…..
