Can your credit score be affected by not paying for an item on Ebay?
I had an extraordinary family emergency and was not able to access a computer after leaving work on a Friday in order to pay (or at the very least explain I would not be able to attend due to the emergency). Now the seller is being really inconsiderate. Can this truly become a problem if taking to court, and reported to the credit agencies?
No because you have not been sold anything on credit. The seller has not supplied the item to you because you have not paid.
Therefore you have not been given credit (and had the seller sent it without payment, they would have to be licensed for credit and you have a legal right to see the credit license number [UK only]).
Unless it is credit/lending of money then no. Only financial institutions or those who give credit (such as gas/electric companies) can affect someones credit score.
