Just learning how to play acoustic, Guitar Question?
I’m 16, my name is chelsea, & I really want to learn how to play Butterfly fly away on an acoustic guitar. I’m a singer, and its such a pretty song. Two problems: I don’t have a guitar, & I don’t know how to play. I’d like to perform it at a pageant for Miss New Jersey Outstanding Teen January 16th.. think its possible to learn by then? & how much do acoustics usually go for? & What about a guitar off ebay? I found a purple one, but it says its like 30 dollars.. i don’t know if thats too cheap or not.. i’m not educated on prices of acoustics and whatnot. Also, 10 pts if you go on ebay and find me a guitar you think is reliable 
I’m thinking between a $100-$200 budget. Thanks!
With a couple hundred dollar budget, I think it would be a better idea to check with some of your local music stores. Chances are that they will have some reasonably good instruments in that price range and you will have some one to possibly return it to if you are unhappy with the purchase. They could also direct you to getting some lessons. If you are concentrating on one particular song, it’s possible to learn it by the time frame mentioned. But plan to spend much longer to actually learn to play and understand the guitar.
