What kind of acoustic guitar should I look at?
I am taking a guitar lessons in school this semester and am looking at buying myself an inexpensive beginners acoustic guitar. In class we play Yamaha Classical Nylon string guitars, but I don’t know what kind I should buy.
Steel or nylon string? My teacher recommends nylon, but I think steel might be more versatile. I want to play country music and music like Jack Johnson plays, and john mayor, etc.
What brand should I get? I don’t want to spend more than $200 and I am looking at refurbished models to save more money : )
I think that is it, but you can give me any suggestions- I am open to anything.
And I play the piano already if that helps!

Oh and Classical or Acoustic? I guess that kind of goes with the string type.
Get a steel string Yamaha. cheap, good sounding. well built. you’ll have those dents in your fingers for a while as you get used to it, but they’re so much louder than nylon string guitars. Classical guitar usually means nylon string. both are acoustic.
