Which electric guitar should I get? Recommendations please!?
I am a beginner at it, and I’ve found these guitars which are within my budget, so I just needed some advice. I’m mostly going to be playing rock.
Epiphone Les Paul Standard (1999)
Squier Bullet Strat
Ibanez RG470
Epiphone Korina Explorer
Feel free to post other guitar recommendations too, but bear in mind that I am still a beginner and I don’t want anything overly pricey. Thanks!

As has been said, the best thing for you to do would be to get yourself down to your local music store and try a few guitars out that are in your price range. You may even find more than you have at the moment.
Every guitar plays, sounds, feels different, and only you will know what feels right to you. I think this is especially important when your a beginner because you’ll find guitar playing harder than someone with experience, and you’ll need a guitar that you find extra comfortable.
As for the guitars you’ve pointed out, I wouldn’t go for the Explorer because of it’s awkward shape. It’s an uncomfortable guitar to play in my opinion, especially for a beginner. For this same reason, I wouldn’t go with the Les Paul. I’ve always found them to be very bottom heavy, and this is not a good thing – especially for a beginner. When your trying to develop your playing technique, you don’t wanna be wrestling to keep a guitar on your knee. I’ve never found the squiers to be very good guitars built wise or sound wise, where as, the Ibanez is a very well built guitar, very well balanced, comfortable to play, and they have a great sound. If you get the chance, try one out. ……. as I said though. It’s all up to you!
