perfecting a voice for acoustic singing?
so im buying an acoustic guitar in the next few days. im pretty excited because i love the sound of it. and of course with acoustic, usually comes the singing once you get pretty good at guitar. im 15, male, and not too big like 145 lbs. (not sure if that made a difference, just thought i should add that) and i havent really tried real singing just small stuff like along with a song. i wouldnt say i have a bad voice, its not like sandpapery or scratchy or raspy, its just normal like i dont know what im doing. now i was wondering if as i mature my voice will change, or if i can take voice lessons or SOMETHING that will make my voice fairly decent too listen too with a guitar in hand.

Good news, your voice will change when you get older. I’m 16 so yeah mine is gonna change also. i like playing the acoustic guitar a lot and singing.

Here’s what I do also, I blast music and sing along as loud as I can. Record yourself to see if you’re on pitch or not. It really helps, I’ve improved. I played in front of 200 people at a talent show with my friend an “Cadence” by Anberlin. We did an acoustic version. We got a standing ovation and the crowd was so loud my ears hurt, that’s all i remember, too much adrenaline.
